Our Experience with the Hello Fresh Family Plan
My family got together to decide on the menu options we wanted to try and placed our first order. A few days later, our first Hello Fresh box arrived.
Everything was beautifully packaged and arrived safe and sound. I unpacked each ingredient and started looking forward to that week’s dinners. Mind you; I haven’t looked forward to cooking dinner in ages.
Each of the three meals we tried was delicious in their own way, here’s our experience with the meals we tried:
Sesame Beef Tacos
What household doesn’t love tacos? Ours sure does, so we went right for the sesame beef tacos with pickled vegetables and spicy crema for night one.
At first, I was expecting this dish to be a bit of an undertaking. It seemed fairly complex. To my surprise, I had this delicious meal on the table in under a half hour.
The beef was tangy, spicy, and delicious, and the pickled vegetables added an extra zing that really took these tacos to the next level. The dish was delicious to the point where I was impressed that it came from my kitchen!
Cherry Balsamic Pork Chops
The cherry balsamic pork chops with roasted potatoes and broccoli caught our eye as well, so we gave that menu item a shot on the next night.
For me personally, I’ve never managed to cook a pork chop properly in my life. I start on the right path, and before I know it, the pork chop is dry, overcooked, and hardly appetizing. Thanks to the folks at Hello Fresh, I’m happy to report that even I was able to come up with a delicious and juicy pork chop for that night’s dinner.
This recipe came together in about a half hour, and every aspect of it was delicious. The tart cherry jam added a sweet punch that made this dish one of our favorites.
Bacon Caprese Chicken
Of all the dishes we chose, this was the most involved. But, we couldn’t resist how delicious it sounded, so we buckled down and prepared to give the bacon Caprese salad our best shot.
It took about forty-five minutes to get this meal onto the table, and once it was finished, we were rewarded with a hearty and delicious dish that really sticks to your ribs. Best of all, at just over 700 calories per serving, it’s also a healthy option.
Of all the dishes we tried, this was our clear favorite. It had such a deep flavor, and each ingredient played off one of the other ingredients, making for a really delicious meal.
