The Gobble culinary team has come up with a wonderful new addition to their recipe range – the grilling kit!
There is nothing quite like a grilled meal, cooked and eaten outdoors on a hot summer’s evening. This dish of grilled pork served with a side of wheat berries and a cold farro salad is just one example of the dishes included in this grilling fiesta!
This dish was delicious. It had a lovely balance of sweet and savory flavors. Let’s start with the pork tenderloin; it was top quality, soft and tender.
We absolutely loved the peach bourbon sauce that accompanied the meat to give it a nice tang. The real star of the dish was the side salad. It was made from wholesome farro and wheat berries which were tossed in a beautiful sherry vinaigrette and then topped with sliced almonds, dried cranberries, and grilled peaches. Yummy!
It might sound like a complicated dish to cook, but it was actually very simple! One of the big attractions of Gobble is that most ingredients come pre-portioned with some even being pre-cooked. So, the overall cooking time of their meals is only about 15 minutes.
All we had to do was to grill the pork and peaches for a few minutes. We then warmed the pre-cooked wheat berries and farro in the microwave for 2 minutes and mixed these ingredients with the sliced almonds, cranberries, arugula, and the vinaigrette. It was then simply a matter of plating and serving. It is highly recommended with a nice chilled white wine.
