I absolutely love spaghetti squash, so when I saw this dish on the Plated weekly menu I simply had to give it a try!

My Honest Review:

I am delighted to say that I was not disappointed. The Bolognese sauce contained some lovely flavors from the fresh carrots, garlic and the red wine.  The meat was of a great quality and the parmesan cheese finished the dish off beautifully. The delicious Bolognese sauce served with the sweet salty spaghetti squash was just a perfect combination! Both my husband and I enjoyed it very much.

It did take some time to cook, mainly because the squash needed about 25 minutes in the oven. But apart from that, it was quite simple to make.  The process just involved cleaning the spaghetti squash, cooking it in the oven with some oil and spices, and cooking the Bolognese sauce in one pan.

My husband is trying to reduce gluten in his diet, and since this was a gluten free friendly dish it was a great match for us.

I also must mention the size of the portion – it was very generous for dinner for two people!! Which I did not mind at all, because it meant that I had some leftovers for dinner the next day.
