My Honest Review:
I love both Indian food and okra, and as it is not common to find okra included in meal kits recipes, I was extra intrigued by this one and looking forward to trying it. I try to eat at least one or two vegetarian meals a week so I thought it would be perfect for me.
If I am being completely honest, I was a little disappointed with this dish. It was good, but not great and it was certainly lacking any ‘wow’ factor. I really felt that there was not enough of those lovely Indian flavors that I was expecting, and the sauce was a bit on the dry side as well.
On a positive note, the vegetables that Plated included in this meal kit were fresh, as always, and of a great quality. I also loved the fact that there were so many different vegetables in this dish – sweet potatoes, green peas, okra, onions, and tomatoes. It felt like a very healthy recipe which is always a plus. Additionally, the portion size of the dish we received was quite generous. This is quite often the case with Plated meal kits, so I had some leftovers for my lunch the following day.
