These pineapple upside down cakes from Plated were simple and delicious
My Honest Review:
Another very appealing and easy to make dessert recipe from Plated. The cake itself was made with a simple vanilla cake recipe. All you had to do was mix together the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, egg and all the dry ingredients. What gave it the twist was the caramelized pineapples, which were very easy to make as well. For the caramelized pineapples you simply needed to brown some sugar and butter, add the pineapple rings and toss these for a few minutes until they had become golden from the caramel. The batter was enough for 4 small cakes that were of a muffin size. We ate two for dessert after dinner and I gave the other two to my girls the following day and they made a lovely morning snack.
The only thing I did not understand about this recipe is why Plated did not include eggs with the ingredients if they are needed in the recipe. It does not make much sense at all as they do send eggs if needed in a recipe from the regular menu.
