To be honest, it was the first time we tried RealEats, and we were curious to see if it was any good or not.
The idea of cooking food in vacuum-packed plastic bags is a relatively new concept here in America. So, there aren’t many companies to offer such meals. When we received our delivery, we were a little scared as the food in the bags didn’t look very attractive. But! And it’s a big but! The end result was excellent and tasted super fresh and yummy.
This cooking method keeps the food fresh and ensures that all the nutritional benefits of each meal are contained in the meal. In this meal, the shrimp are tossed with spices, shallots, and jalapeños, and is served with creamy and smoky grits.
It is served with bright jicama – seasonal apple and pear salad – as a side. The meal had an incredible amount of great flavor and was well-balanced, without an excess of calories.
There were only 420 calories per serving for a generously sized portion.
